Who we share your data with

Our general policy is that we do not share personal data with third-parties unless you ask us to. There are, however, certain limited exceptions that are described below.

Service providers & product suppliers

We use third-parties to perform services and provide products on our behalf, including package delivery, printing, payment processing, marketing, advertising, digital forensics, research, analytics, inquiry, training, reporting, and customer service.

We use the information you provide only to provide the services that power the online store and learning management system. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the expected service or product.

We use the information customers provide about themselves when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use the information customer's provide about someone else when placing an order only to facilitate shipment of the product and to confirm delivery. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. We use opt-in emails collected during the course of business to do follow-up marketing to our customers. We do not share their email addresses with third-parties.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online by you in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Sponsors & exhibitors

When we host training events & conferences, we provide the exhibitor/sponsor with attendees’ physical mailing address (where permissible to do so). The exhibitor/sponsor is allowed to send two direct mailings to attendees (one before the conference and one after the conference), and does not receive attendees’ email or phone number. We also provide access to free sponsored webinars & live seminar training sessions, and if you register for these events, the contact information you enter on the webinar, live seminar training, or e-Learning registration page is provided to the sponsor. The sponsor can then contact you with information about their services (where permissible by law).

Clients

Where permissible by law, we may gather information for litigation support, investigative, due diligence, or other related purposes. For example, if the general counsel of your employer hired our firm to conduct an investigation related to allegations of a fraud, it is possible that we would have your personal information on record as part of the investigation. In that scenario, we are required to maintain the confidentiality of the evidence as per the terms of the contract with the client and per the statutes related to private investigation for that state, if applicable. As such, details regarding evidence is prohibited from disclosure.

What rights you have over your data

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. The following websites and subdomains house personal information that is independent of each other. To review and update your information, you will have to go to each one separately if applicable. For example, if you purchased something from the store, but did not register as a user on the primary website, you will have an account for the store, but not on the primary website. Some jurisdictions provide individuals with a right to require organizations holding their personal data to erase it. In addition to complying with such requirements in specific jurisdictions, we will do our best to comply with any request to delete information we have collected about you at your request. Note that some information, such as litigation records or personal information required to verify an individual's identity related to services provided during the due diligence or investigative processes, must be retained. Additionally, exercising your right to be forgotten may mean that we are no longer able to provide you with certain benefits or services that you have requested. Please submit your request in writing to the address indicated in the Contact Information section of this page.

See the Contact Information section of this page for the contact information of our EU representative.

For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
